I had the opportunity to sit down with C. Michelle, an up and coming makeup artist as well as fashion blogger. She is a student at Michigan State University. In a world where most students go to discover their talents, Cedasha is a head of her peers, as she goes to college to further her already buzzing fashion career. I could go on and on about how fabulous this young entrepreneur is, but I will let you read the interview for yourself!

Ari The Heiress: You are a college student and already doing major things in the fashion/makeup industry. How do you balance school and cmichellestyles?

Cedasha: Thank you, The most effective way that I balance both school and my company is by using a planner. I would be lost with it, I carry my planner around with me at ALL times! It’s imperative.

Ari The Heiress: Tell us a little about your blog and what you do.

Cedasha: On cmichellestyles.com I do a lot, from question of the days, fashion posts, makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, hosting contest, games, music posts, n’ more. Cmichellestyles.com is the ultimate Beauty n’ Fashion site. There is plenty to do n’ see! One of my most recent additions to the the site is my online boutique! That just opened on October 23, 2010. Ari The Heiress: What inspired you to become a makeup artist?

Cedasha: Honestly, I was watching a youtube video of someone doing makeup n’ I thought “I can do that…wait, I can do that better” n’ the rest is history, lol. I have always been a girlie girl, n’ I started to collect makeup at a young age. Once I decided to begin doing makeup I had a nice collection started already. I look at it as God was setting me up for my future.

Ari The Heiress: What inspired you to begin makeup video blogs? Those videos are awesome! I learn new tricks from you all the time!

Cedasha: Thank you, I felt like there was a lack of African American woman on Youtube doing makeup tutorials. Better yet, there is a lack of “Brown” representation period, I wanted to display how women of color can wear bold eye shadows tastefully, how to mix colors for our skin tones, etc. Also, I just thought it would be fun, LOL

Aritheheiress: What would you say is the hottest superstar nail lacquer color for the fall?

Cedasha: The hottest color of the fall is Gucci Green! Deep n’ rich colors are in!!
