A micro-influncer is a person that has between 5,000 – 100,000 followers with a niche market in a particular industry. Over the years, influencers have been known to have hundreds of thousands and even millions of followers, but the game is changing. It’s not that those with an abundance of followers are going anywhere, it’s just that those who have a smaller, yet cult following are on the rise in a big way this year.
