This past weekend in Chicago brought back so many memories growing up in the midwest. From Garrett’s Popcorn to visiting the Sears Tower, I felt right at home from when we used to take a weekend drive over to the Windy City from the Mitten State. Though I have been all around the city and know it like the back of my hand, it was fun taking the time to be a tourist for a few days. That’s what’s so fun about traveling. Even if you’ve been to a place a million times, you can still find something unique to appreciate. That’s what I did. I decided to let go of my prior experiences and go in with an open heart because this time I was with new people. It’s amazing how exploring with different people can yield different experiences each time.
Visiting The Sky Deck in the Willis Tower (Sears Tower) was so cool. I discovered that I’m really not afraid of heights. So many people were scared to sit on this area that I’m sitting, but I found myself loving it!
I had go visit Cloud Gate aka The Bean! It was so much fun being a tourist in this area.
Earlier that day, my mom and I did an interview at the Chicago Board Options Exchange. It was an AMAZING experience being able to see people trading inside. I really felt like I was in a scene from the movie, Wolf of Wall Street!
