I had a such a fabulous time at Oxford Fashion Week held at Oxford University, of course. First of all, to be standing in such a prestigious college just made my day. The event took place at the Sheldonian Theatre and highlighted various established and up-and-coming designers. For my look, I opted for more color but added black boots to give it more of a fall feel. One thing I noticed in Oxford is that people don’t really wear lots of color. Maybe because it’s more of a laid back, college town. Every where I went, people would stare and give me compliments on my jacket because it was so different. I guess that’s the great thing about fashion and traveling the world. You get to experience different style in different areas. Now when I made my way to London, this type of jacket and color was normal. Funny how that happened!
Here I am sitting front row, taking pictures for Instagram and video for my Snapchat, because I wanted those who follow me to get a glimpse of some fashionable trends from the runway. Plus, I wanted to show off some new designers who you will be seeing in the future.
Standing here with on of the directors from Oxford Fashion Week to the left. On the right, is a shot from Olivia May Boutique which was a new take on everyday wear. The combat inspired boots and layers were a great way to stay stylish while enduring those cold months. For those in the States, it’s a great way to incorporate more of an european vibe into your wardrobe. You can check out more of their collection on Instagram or Facebook.
A few more of my favorite designers from the show were Emma Gilligan, S. Nine, Maria Meita, Caitlin Charles-Jones and Lavinia Cadar. It’s so fun to discover new designers from around the world, who have their own unique taste of ready to wear and evening attire. It’s what makes fashion fun and unique.
