Happy Monday guys, this is going to be a fabulous and uplifting week for you and me. As I sit here thinking of what to write, my mind began to drift on the topic of fashion and entrepreneurship. As you may know, I am the owner of the nail lacquer brand, Superstar Nail Lacquer, which I am so thankful it has become not only a successful national brand, but also an international brand. I’m always looking and searching for other young entrepreneurs and bloggers who are on top of their game, successful, and do it with grace. Well recently at New York Fashion Week, I had the opportunity to meet 3 pair of sisters that were in business and the fashion/beauty industry. I was inspired by their dedication to delivering great content in their businesses and blogs, their drive to win and be the best, and their kindness that so effortlessly shined through to me! Each of these girls own a product that I absolutely love and adore (I’ll get more into the details later). These sisters are:
1. The Songsters: Aimee and Dani song are such an inspiration to me. I will be totally honest and admit that I visit their Instagram pages daily to see what they are up to. The girls are always on the go, working with top fashion brands and magazines. Aimee Song, interior designer and fashion blogger, is one of the top bloggers today. I’m so inspired by her continuous collaboration with designers and labels like Botkier, Seven For All Mankind, Peperlime to name a few. She is being called on by some of the world’s top designers and labels to be a brand amassador, to design blogger bags (like the one she did for Lacoste) and not to mention her style features in Instyle Magazine, Glamour, and Teen Vogue to name a few. In other words, Aimee song is at the top of her game and becoming a household name in the blogging and fashion industry. Let’s not forget Dani Song! A multi-talented youngin’ who not only is a fashionista in her own right, but is an incredible artist, a hairstylist, and photographer. I mean what CAN’T this girl do. The most intriguing thing I find about these sister’s are that they have a close bond that is unbreakable. You will see Aimee song doing an event with Tiffany & Co. and Dani will be right their with her supporting and pushing her along the way. It’s so refreshing to see sisters loving and helping one another on their journey to the top. What’s better than having your sister around to share in all your memories. The songters definitely get my vote! www.songofstyle.com

2. The Beckerman Sisters: Twins, Cailli and Sam, are some of the most upbeat, stylish and swagged out sisters you will ever meet! I had the opportunity to meet and snap photos of the girls at the Lincoln Center as they immediately caught my attention with gladiator sandals and bright hues. Designers turned bloggers are now a hit in the fashion world due to their fabulous clothing line and chronicling their attire online. While attending Fashion Institute of Technology, the twin’s thesis collection appeared in Nylon Magazine and was ordered by the Tokyo relailer, Loveless, which put them on the map. If you follow the Beckerman sisters on Instagram, @beckermanblog, then you can’t help but notice their extremely adorable ‘Beckerman Dog’, that frequently makes an appearance by doing a cute “dog skit”. It’s fun, hilarious and believe it or not, GLAMOROUS honey! Decked out in Chanel, sunnies, and sweaters, sometimes I wish I was their dog (LOL!) These girls are definitely ones to watch as they are building their brand and becoming so successful. Ahh I just love them! www.beckermanbiteplate.com
3. Coco and Breezy: Twins Corianna and Brianna, also known as Coco & Breezy, founders of their own sunglass brand and empire. These girls are doing it in a big way at age 22. Their sunglasses have been spotted on some of the top celebrities like, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Rihanna, Dawn Richards, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Osbourne, Ciara, Selita Ebanks, Theophilus London, Serena Williams and more. Whew! If that isn’t a great accomplishment in itself. Following the girls on Instagram gives you a glimpse of their work ethic and behind the scenes of their fashion empire. During New York Fashion Week, I met and snapped a picture with the girls who were so kind and of course absolutely fabulous.
Recently I was looking at the girl’s Instagram and came across a post that touched me. The post was about a journal entry they wrote September 16, 2009 concerning their move to NYC. They talked about how they sold clothes to get money for their big move and how they wanted to see Rihanna rocking Coco & Breezy glasses (which became a reality) and so on and so on. I am a firm believer that what you write down, focus on, and speak on will come into existence in your life. You have to believe it first then receive it. This message is so important for young aspiring and current entrepreneurs who want to take their life and business to the top. My dad always says that success don’t just happened, it’s a planned event, and that exactly what Coco & Breezy have done and are still doing. I’m excited to see these girls at the top! Take a look at the journal entry below. www.cocoandbreezy.com
Well I hope this post inspired you to succeed today. Each of these girls are such an inspiration for our generation as they are making waves in their industries. I love their drive and attitude of a winner. They are always positive, motivating and let’s not forget FASHIONABLE! I would love for you to comment and let me know of how they or other entrepreneurs have inspired you that are in business and fashion/beauty industry. Please help me share this post with others in your network. It’s time to inspire young girls everywhere to live their dreams NOW and not later.
xoxo!
