At this year’s Women’s Success Conference, Daymond John from Shark Tank joined us and kicked off our conference with an inspirational message! He gave 5 ways to be a shark in your personal business. His message was inspiring, insightful and full of information that changed the way I looked at business and entrepreneurship. I wanted to share with you a little of what he taught us. Of course, those who attended the conference had in-depth information because they invested in themselves by being at the Women’s Success Conference. That’s why it’s important to SHOW UP!
But for those who missed the event, I’ll give you a snippet.
A little about Daymond:
He is the creator of clothing line, FUBU, standing for “For Us By Us”, which represented a lifestyle that was neglected by other clothing companies. Realizing this need in the marketplace, Daymond created the untapped urban apparel space and laid the groundwork for other companies to compete in this newly established market. FUBU recorded annual sales of $350 million! In 2009, Daymond joined the cast of ABC’s hit entrepreneurial business show, Shark Tank! He has gone on to accomplish so much more in his business and career, so there is a lot to learn from him! Check out below what I learned from Daymond.
How to be a shark in your personal business:
S- Set your goals (You can’t hit a target you can’t see.)

R – you R your brand! (Sum up your brand’s pitch into 2-5 words.)
K – Keep Swimming (Keep going until you make it)
