Hey guys!! I’m so excited that summer is finally here. Even though Orlando is warm year-round, it’s starting to really heat up. What I’m so excited about this season are the floral print patterns and what I like to call, easy-breezy dresses. When temperatures get around 105 degrees, my favorite thing to throw on is an airy dress to stay cool yet fashionable.
In today’s post, the dress that is featured comes from ASOS and is so perfect for a casual day out or a special event. I decided to wear this piece to speak at the first day of our Success Tour in Atlanta this past weekend. I felt comfortable on stage and knew that this piece was great for my body shape. After the meeting, I was able to transition into flats and the outfit still looked great.
One thing I’ve learned over the years as a fashionpreneur is to always wear clothes that make you feel great and confident, especially when you have to speak in front of an audience. When there is a crowd, people are going to stare and look at you. Half of delivering a well presentation is the way you present yourself and your image. When you feel bad or funny about the way you look, it comes off in your speech and the audience can tell right away if you are nervous or not. So today I want to give you 3 ways to looking your best for any presentation.
1. Always choose your outfit a week in advance. The earlier the better! When you put in time to care about your image it’ll help you nail your presentation. Feeling confident on stage starts with feeling confident in how you look.
2. Wear something that suits the audience. If you are speaking to fashionable, young adults, wear something fashionable! Now if you are speaking to a more conservative group, wear something that the crowd will get yet still fits your personality.
3. Choose a speaking shoe. If you have to give long presentations like me, opting for a comfortable yet dressy shoe is a must. The worst thing is to have your feet hurting and still have 45 mins to speak. That’s happened to me before, but I solved that problem right away by choosing a great pair of JustFab heels.
