Hey loves! I hope that you are off to a great week so far. Can you believe that we are already in the month of December? It’s time for sharing memories and gifts with family and friends this holiday season. I’m almost done with my Christmas shopping, so I feel really good and organized this year. Well enough about me! This past week, I received plenty of emails inquiring on how I stay creative and innovative in my fashion businesses year after year. It can be hard to think of new marketing plans, strategies, and concepts after you’ve used all your ideas. Then, it’s like the things that used to work, aren’t relevant anymore. So what do you do? In today’s post, I’m going to be sharing with you 3 Ways To Stay Creative. These 3 keys can be applied to your wardrobe or your business. It really boils down to what you want to focus your attention on. So let’s kick this thing off!
3 Ways To Staying Creative
1. Read. Read. Read. – One of the best ways to stay creative and innovative in your wardrobe and in your business is by doing your research. Get magazines, books and articles that deal with your particular subject. Many times, we feel burnt out of ideas because we aren’t constantly filling our heads up with new information. Knowledge really is power. The more you know, the more you will be able to grow and tap into your creativity.
2. Use social media. – Social media can be used for more than just good entertainment. It should be used as an avenue to draw inspiration and creativity. Follow pages that are in your industry or people who inspire you. Follow in their footsteps, especially if they are successful at what they are doing. They obviously have a formula that works, so be open to adapting new features and ideas to what you are doing or wearing. On the other hand, remember to not steal other’s ideas and hard work, but just be inspired by what they do. Add your twists or outlook to make it uniquely yours.
3. Dress up. – Yes, dressing up is just as important as doing your research. Your appearance can either make you feel good or feel really bad. Have you ever had a bad hair day? Or felt sloppy? Yea me too! It was all because of what I was wearing and how I presented myself to the world. When I get dressed up, I get excited, I’m more nice, and I feel more creative. Ideas begin to flow to me because I’m feeling good about myself and what I have to offer the world. When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you open your heart to discover innovative ways to stay creative!
