Last weekend I had the opportunity to experience Disney After Hours, and what a great time I had. Imagine going to one of the busiest parks in the world, and having it all to yourself for the evening. It’s the closest experience you can get to that, and I’m so grateful I was able to do it.
Simply put, Disney After Hours is your chance to take advantage of all the amazing rides and adventures Magic Kingdom has to offer, without the long lines and overcrowding. I know it sounds too good to be true, but it’s totally a real thing. Space Mountain is usually a 90+ minute wait, but during Disney After Hours it was a walk-on. We were able to get on this ride twice within 10 minutes. Crazy, right? We then made our way to Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Rangers Spin, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, It’s a Small World, Peter Pan’s Flight, Pirates of the Caribbean and more, all in one night. Let me just tell you, I’ve never had the opportunity to do that in one single visit to Magic Kingdom.
In between all the amazing rides, we were able to enjoy bottled water, ice cream and popcorn that was included with our ticket. I found that to be a special surprise and great addition to an already fabulous evening.
So would I recommend it? Is it worth getting? Of course I’d recommend it and it’s definitely worth getting. As a local in the Orlando area, this is a major deal. It can be hard to score fast pass to the popular rides, due to the overwhelming amount of visitors who reserve them months in advance. With the Disney After Hours pass, we did not have to wait in lines nor did we have try and score a pass to get on rides. We really did feel like VIP’s. It’s the perfect opportunity to really enjoy a night out at at the park with your significant other or friends and family.
