Let’s face it, entrepreneurship can be stressful at times. From keeping up with orders, to mailing out product, to doing media interviews and counting inventory, owning a business can be hard at times. I remember praying and working hard to get large orders to come in to my business. Who doesn’t want someone to order a $1000 worth of products? Right? Well when those large orders began to come in, it wasn’t as easy to fulfill each one as I thought it would be. In the beginning I didn’t have the help to put the packaging together fast and everything was done just by me. I spent the entire day and night going through shipping out the orders that had come in.
Though I found myself a bit stressed out, I had to snap out of it if I wanted to be a real entrepreneur. That meant changing my mindset and remaining grateful for the business coming my way. If this is something that you are dealing with, then I want to help you keep that original smile on your face and the fire you had burning under you when you first started your business. That’s why today I’m going to share with you a few ways to stay happy, even as a growing entrepreneur.
- Gratitude is the key. You may hear this all the time, but the best way to stay stress-free when building your business and brand is to remain grateful for all that is coming your way. Take some time each night to write out something you’re grateful for, no matter how your day went. This small yet powerful daily practice will help you to see the positive in your life at all times.
- Treat yourself with something sweet. It’s okay to reward yourself for hard work! When you make a big sale or have to do work that takes you long hours, then treat yourself with a treat or item that will put that big smile on your face. I use the reward system to keep me motivated in business and life. I push more and do more because I know that there is something great to look forward to.
- Roses always do the job. There is something about buying yourself flowers for your desk or living area that just brightens up your day. According to studies done by The State University of New Jersey, the presence of flowers triggers emotions such as happiness, satisfaction and affects social behavior in a great way. Wow! Now if that isn’t enough proof to grab yourself a dozen roses, I don’t know what it.
