It’s just a few days before Christmas, and the New Year is swiftly approaching. This is my favorite time of year, because I take the time to reflect on all the amazing moments and opportunities that have come in 2015. One of the things I’m grateful for is my recent feature on Allure.com where I was the blogger of the month and to got the first look at their December beauty box. It was definitely a dream come true to work with and be featured with an international magazine like Allure. I actually wrote that I wanted to work with more of my favorite publications in my Success Journal, and it’s amazing how it’s totally manifesting daily.
In celebration of the new things happening in 2016, I decided to pull out my favorite golden jacket with this beautiful black fringe wrap dress. What’s so awesome about it, is that it’s super sexy without looking trashy. Living my life like it’s golden is definitely the mantra for 2016. I’ve already started my new goals list, vision board and affirmations. It’s so important to write down what you see for your future…it keeps you focused, motivated and driven. While we are on the topic, I thought now would be a great time to share with you some ways to stay focused and grateful in the new year.
Here’s a list of 3 things I live by to actually “Live my Life Like it’s Golden”:
- Get new books for the New Year – Consistently reading new information on your industry, finances and other things that interests you will keep you motivated throughout the year. I get so many emails from clients asking how to stay creative with their blogs, businesses and personal endeavors. The first thing I ask them is have they picked up a book or magazine. When you read, your mind goes to exploring and is exposed to new things, ideas and opportunities. Reading is a fundamental habit for a successful person, so you must build this habit into your daily routine.
- Write your goals – List the things you want to accomplish in 2016 and in your overall life by writing them down on paper. My mom, Dr. Stacia, always says that what’s written is real. It’s amazing how when you write out your vision, things begin to manifest to bring it to life. Here’s a tip – Write your goals in the present or past tense. For example, you could write: I wrote my first book in 2016 and it was a huge success! When you write it like this, you give your goals a command to manifest in your life.
- Eat healthy – Now this may sound pointless, but it’s actually one of the best habits you can build on your way to living a successful life. Good food will energize you and help you stay motivated throughout each day. This is so important to accomplishing your goals and dreams. A healthy body is a great candidate for a clear and sound mind.
