When it comes to collaborations, I like to choose the ones that fit my overall branding message. My favorites are those that encourage our young people to think bigger and do better. That’s why when I came across The Journey Collection by Quincy Brown, from the hit show Star, I immediately fell in love.
I remember reading one of the designer’s post that explained what this collection was all about. He mentioned how he remembered his first bike ride like it was yesterday. It was the fist time he experienced handling the fears of life on his own. It taught him to live everyday as fearless as his first bike ride and he wanted others to do the same…hence the bicycle logo with a Q.
This positive message was something that I could connect with because I too had moments in my life where I had to live fearlessly while going after my dreams. One of those times happened to be just last year when I decided to write my book, Skip The Party Start a Business. Though I had written other books, this one was going to be the first time I had really opened up about my childhood and the beginning stages of starting my business. I was nervous about what others were going to think, but I did it anyways, and now that’s one of my best selling books. It has helped young people around the world live their dreams and start businesses…But what would of happened if I would have let the fear get to me? There would be no best selling book and the young people who needed to hear this message of hope the most, would probably still be searching for the answers they needed to go to the next level. I’m so grateful I took that leap of faith!
So now I want to ask you a question. When was the last time you did something in-spite of your fears and it worked in your favor? Share below in the comment section!
